The grapes for our castle wines grow at the foot of the mountains, on lands gently exposed to the east and the south, at an altitude of between 450 and 550 m. The soil structure of lime gravel and porphyry weathering soil, together with the hilly location which ensures stark day-night temperature fluctuations, provides exceptionally good conditions for high-quality viticulture. Careful harvesting and gentle vinification techniques in the cellar are the secrets which infuse our wines with their unique taste.
Englar wines are made exclusively with grapes from the Englar vineyards, and are vinified and bottled on the estate.
